My day was long, cold, and wet.

Also, I think I found the first incident of one of my GIFs being reposted. At least they just took one from the set and not them all. I don't particularly care (I don't really consider GIF making to be all that amazing creativity wise), but I sort of want to message them to find out for sure.

Also, there is a cat in heat next door. Just hours of meowing and meowing.

I am having a lazy day. I haven't done my workout today and I need to. I haven't made dinner and I need to do that as well. Probably after the workout. I don't know. Zero motivation all freaking day.

Woot lazy day! BUT, if you need to go workout DO IT! Get them legs moving!

I've been dealing with student loan issues and feeling guilty about all the money I've wasted with nothing to show for it.

I have four student loans that add up to about $400 monthly. :( Budgeting is hard but necessary.

I led a meeting while my co-worker is out of town. Twenty plus people in the crowd. I stand up, point out the one project that was approved and ask if they had any questions.

Somewhere a cricket chirped. I asked again, questions, comments, anything? A bunch of crickets chirped.

Meeting adjourns. Two guys come up and start asking about the project. AFTER most of the room had left.

My supervisor says this is normal and they do it to everyone. The committee members beg for a meeting then contribute nothing. As a result, I was left standing in front of twenty + people looking like a fool.

This is why I weekday drink.

Maybe they don't want to look like idiots either? May I ask what kind of project/where you work (as in what industry)?

At work I pretty much faceplanted on a pedal bike, and rolled it over myself 180.

This was infront of a carrier full of colleagues, who went dead silent until I jumped up and they realised I was okay, at which point they hammered the walls and cheered out the windows.

Final nail in the coffin for any chance of losing my work nickname, but on the upside I've been promised by my supervisor this means I'll get a bike with a frame that actually fits me.

At least you were not hurt. D:

My mother got back from Chicago finally. She said it was a six hour wait at the train station.

Work was crazy today, but I made it. And tomorrow's my day off, so I'm happy.

Isn't Chicago being hammered with snow?

And woot for a day off! Mine is not for 2 more days.

This person followed me on tumblr and they were using one of my photographs (of jellyfish) as a profile pic. I was half irritated, and half flattered they liked it enough to steal it (they had never reblogged it, because I checked and pic had no notes).

I had my interview and it mostly consisted of my stuttering and not answering questions well. Whoops. Oh well. That's pretty much it. Kinda a crap day.

I sort of want to tell the person, that is okay they used it but next time ask for permission. And hell, I'd even make them a GIF if they asked nicely. At least they are not claiming it as their own. And mine IS the best looking in the set (imho).

I am sorry about your interview. :( Did you prepare any?

I got cable TV again this morning (postponed from Monday because the truck couldn't get into my impassable driveway and couldn't park on the street because it hadn't been plowed). Finally watching my team play for the SECOND TIME this season... the first time I was actually at the game because I happened to be in town for something else and figured I'd make the trip extra awesome. :D

And I made candied ginger earlier. Waiting for it to dry now. Saved the syrup to make ginger ale with (or just mix with other tasty juices/sodas). Also discovered the flavor sensation that is peanut butter and sriracha.

Woot? What sport/team? The only one I really follow is college football.

And is candied ginger sweet?

The usual ball of tired irritation as I impatiently wait for my shift to end.
I was going to have a long weekend but picked up a shift for a coworker who has something urgent on. So...sigh.

Fretting over writing fancy professional long emails to new job. (Essays on what i want out of the job, what i expect etc etc)

Those are the worst questions. Especially why you want to work here. Why isn't "Money." and acceptable answer?

The temps went from below zero to above freezing, so i'm nervous that tomorrow will be a day of ice, ice, ice on everything. The kids are *still* out of school (Xmas break was supposed to end on Monday), and my feet haven't been warm in two months.

But my bff is coming to visit next week and we're going to watch Show together live for the first time *ever*.

So i'm good. :)

Ice is the worst. But glad your bff is coming. What is Show?

Ah that sucks about the gif stealedge, it may not seem like a huge creative thing but I can't make them so I think it's kind of shitty to repost them without asking.

Day #2 of bathing with a bucket and tea kettle due to frozen pipes. We found the problem with the pipe warming tape and fixed it, so at least the toilet tank's filling now, and we know the water heater itself is working, but for some reason the hot water still isn't running. May have to call the maintenance guy again tomorrow... (This after the power went out for the better part of a day earlier this week. Bleh!)
