People believe the 100% gay theory thanks to one of the many mistranslations of the manga which you believe to be a joke.

Than being said, I do get why people don't buy Reiner/Historia and Berth/Annie completely.
After all, all they guys are straight for Historia and even if Berth does care for Annie, Reiner believing that Berth is in love with her is not exactly the best proof ever, since Reiner is not exactly in touch with reality.

What is the correct translation for the line about Reiner's supposed lack of interest in women? The official translation attributes the line to Ymir and has her saying "that's surprising, you didn't seem like the kind of guy who was interested in women", which Reiner then seems to take as an excuse to make a dig at her sexuality.

I'm not going to rule out the possibility that the official translation isn't quite right either, which is why I'd like to see those panels in their original Japanese so I can at least try to pick out whose speech pattern it is in that line.

The official translation is the correct one if you check it against the original Japanese panel. That line is attributed to Ymir, not Reiner.

I don't think Reiner loves Historia. I think he admires her kindness but mostly I think him talking about how he loves her comes off as such a joke without any real action behind it. Ymir and Historia are always doing things that show they care for each other. Same with Eren and Mikasa. But there's really nothing between Reiner and Historia.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that Soldier!Reiner sees 'Christa' as an ideal, as the maiden that his soldier should protect and marry. After all, people call her a goddess due to her looks and kindness (even if that kindness came from some kind of twisted sense of self-worth). And we as the readers know that 'Christa' is just a front (although Historia is still a kind girl but she is flawed). It's like Solider!Reiner is in love with the idea of being with Christa than the actual person.

To be slightly far his hots for Mikasa is pretty much a typical teenage infatuation that will most likely never happen. I don't blame shippers for ignoring it.
