Yeah, I mean, it would have been pretty and adorable had they actually given her a gf or what have you, but...they didn't? And the song was about her turning her back on civilization, not joining it as her true self. Not directed at OP of this secret, but I think this is going to be the next thing that people decide is canon when it's actually fanon and start all kinds of fandom wars over. Heck, I've already seen several people on tumblr insisting that her being queer IS canon.

This. It's not "coming out" when you isolate yourself on top of a mountain in your ice castle.

The song was not about isolating yourself in an ice castle.

She literally shut the door on society. Isolation equals freedom for her, but isolation and coming out doesn't fit.

Depends on the environment you live in. In my old country I would have to shut off loads of people from my life in order to feel free in living my life.

And that is the irony that eventually comes out later in the movie.

As someone said a day or two ago, the stages of Elsa's character arc is:

1. In a crowd, alone.
2. In an ice-palace on a mountain, alone.
3. With people (and here sister), accepted and not alone anymore.

"Let It Go" is only stage 2.
