Chili is my all-time favorite comfort food. Especially if I can splurge on a roast for it instead of hamburger.

And hamburger casserole: 3lbs potatoes, 1 lb ground beef, 1 white onion, 1 can each green beans and corn, 1 carrot, 2-3 cans of mushroom soup. Brown beef, boil potatoes, dump everything together and heat. Add a whole lot of pepper. Even better if you put it in the oven (with french onions on top!). OMG, best thing on a cold day.

That sounds super-tasty! I am totally gonna try this. Casseroles are always a good idea, since they can last a few days at a time.

Also, chili is the best. Cincinnati chili is my favorite!

What temperature do you set the oven at and for how long?

I usually don't bother, so this is kinda guesswork. I'd say around 375-400F. Everything's fully cooked when you put it in, so you just have to wait for the sides to brown and the top to get all bubbly, which would probably take around twenty minutes. It's a very tolerant recipe.
