Body hair part two.

So I posted a topic yesterday about body hair in men. Mostly people agreed with me that excessive body hair (specifically back hair) is gross.

I show this to the boy, hoping he get's the message (fuck knows he won't listen to me) and he's like "No way, the pelt stays".

So the question is this: How do I get him to de-fuzz? It really is very fucking gross, and I don't want to tell him to fuck off (Other than this one issue, he's very sweet and does what he's told, also, the dick is not the worst dick in the world if you can get over the furry) so what do I do? I mean other than physical violence I am totally out of ideas.

You could respect his choice not to get rid of it and just deal with it. It's his body and choice so trying to force him to change because you hate it is stupid.

If someone I dated kindly suggested I shave and I said no, then they kept bringing it up and go as far as to say I'm disgusting? I'd be ending that relationship.

Either get over yourself or end the relationship if it is really that big a deal to you.

It's his body so you don't try to get him to do anything. You can ask him to consider it and explain why but you can't and SHOULDN'T try to make anybody do anything they don't want to. Body hair is a personal choice, whether you're female or male.

You can have a personal preference of what you find physically attractive on people but you can't force them to change it.

Here's the thing, I just went back and read that thread since I missed it yesterday and you are wrong. I hope you really did show him the entire thread, because most people did not agree with you. A few people said they didn't care for back hair but most people were more "meh" in their tone and at least one person said they liked it.

You need to grow up and respect his body and his choices. If he doesn't want to shave then he doesn't have to shave. If it's really bothering you this much then maybe this relationship just won't work for you.

To be honest you sound like a bit of an asshole anyway, so he wouldn't be losing much. I mean honestly, calling him gross, saying "he does what he's told" and "the dick is not the worst dick int eh world"? Yeah, marks for an awesome relationship there.

I hope you show him this thread as well and maybe he can realize he can do better.

I just wanted to note that of 17 replies to your post from yesterday, only 2 of the 6 that mentioned disliking back hair were from logged-in users. I'm not discounting the fact that it's possible there are 4 replying anons on F!S who aren't into that; but since you seem like a conniving, controlling, and manipulative person who specifically created the thread to show your SO there are an alleged majority who find it "gross", I think there's a VERY good chance at least one of them is you. Eugenics anon-- even if they were joking-- sounds the most like you, there's even repetition of your misuse of "objectively wrong".

Having preferences in regards to hair is fine. FORCING someone to change their image to match those preferences is incredibly rude to say the very least. Your relationship doesn't seem particularly healthy to me.

I love body hair of any kind when it's on the body of someone I care about. I'm also happy if they choose to shave it off. I get that body hair can be a deal breaker for someone, but I can't imagine getting that involved with someone in the first place if their body repulsed me.

I feel sorry for your boyfriend because he deserves someone who respects him and you clearly do not.

it's his body, he can do what he likes with it. it's up to you if that's worth it to you or not.

nothing wrong with talking to him about it if it bugs you (and I'm someone who really really prefers men to not have a lot of hair) but this comment makes it sound like he's actively doing something wrong by being hairy and wanting to keep his body the way it is

I replied to your thread yesterday (saying male body hair didn't bother me either way, for the record) - but even as I did so I was thinking to myself that you were almost definitely radfem* anon or one of the similar trolls trying to get F!S to slip up and say something hypocritical about how grooming expectations differ between men and women. And yup, this comment confirms it.

Final statement on the matter, whether you're a troll or not: having preferences about what you find attractive does not make you a bad person, or sexist, or a body shamer. How you treat other people makes you those things. And you, OP, whether you genuinely believe what you are writing or whether you're pathetically trolling this community (which by and large is quite a friendly and liberal place), are most definitely a bad person.
