Mass Effect 2 - 8/10: I enjoyed a large chunk of it, I love the world-building in these games and the characters, there are a few writing hiccups with the story in some places but overall I think they've done a good job.

Infamous: 2/10 - I'm actually sad that I don't like this as much as I thought I would(I love superheroes and this game looked right up my alley). I love, love, love the gameplay, the powers are super-fun to mess around with. But I cannot for the life of me stand Cole, he is the most boring character I have ever played in a video game and I just... No, you can't make me play as him. I WONT.

The Last of us - 9/10: I'm still playing through this so this isn't my overall rating for it but I am really, really enjoying what I've played so far. I like the characters, I love the story, the environments are gorgeous to look at. Really this game is just good.

Borderlands 2 - 8/10: I'm not into shooters typically but my other half prodded me over the winter holidays to start playing it and I am really enjoying myself. Granted I've picked Zero because sniping is how I enjoy FPS's, but I'm liking everything so far about the game, bar my characters squishiness, but that's probably just because I suck at shooters.

Left 4 Dead 2/Left 4 Dead - 7/10: I'm just enjoying running around killing zombies as a snarky motherfucker tbh, it's a silly game but I'm having fun. Plus I like the maps.

Pokémon Y - 8/10: I am pretty easy to please with pokémon games tbh and I love the little things in this, getting to pet/play with your pokémon, avatar customizability, the nicely updated graphics. It's all good.

What I remember most about Infamous is how much fun it was, but that being said...I remember shit about Cole. I'm not even kidding, his personality is just a blank slate for me. Granted, I played years ago and never even finished, but I feel like I should remember something about him besides his appearance....

So maybe you're right.

I'd still give it at least a 6.5 or 7 for the game-play (plus the collecting was really fun!), but I can't say I blame you.

I'll admit I probably am being a little unfair because of how dull I find Cole but I also didn't like how the side missions(that may not have been necessary but were still important to do) were the same for each zone. No change, nada. At least make one of them different.

I will fully agree that the game-play was super fun, the electricity powers were well done tbh and yessss the collecting was addictive, I think I spent more time running round picking up the glowy lightning bolts than doing the missions/story.

I didn't particularly like the side missions either; they were kind of boring. I did like the collecting and the powers were wonderful, as was just climbing buildings and running around the city, but the actual story and missions could've used some work. I hear that Infamous 2 is better? I've wanted to try it but still need to finish the first...

How do you feel about Prototype? That seems to be in direct competition with Infamous.

I never played Prototype so I couldn't say, it certainly looked cool.

Oh god Borderlands 2 sucked up my life last year. I haven't played it for a few months, but from like, January to November it was almost the only game I was playing. x_x Also: Zer0 is the best. :>

Left 4 Dead/L4D2 is a blast. I've never gotten tired of it; it's one of my favorite games of this gen, even though there's not much to it beyond SHOOT ZOMBIES HELP FRIENDS. I'm easy to please, I suppose.

I was just so surprised by how much I am enjoying it, as soon as I picked up a sniper rifle and found just how far away I could shoot enemies with it I was sold. Zer0 is totally the best :3

I'm having a blast with the L4D games, I tend to like co-op games more than straight up PvP ones so that probably helps.

How boring you find Cole really depends on how you play Infamous and Infamous 2, I think. Contrary to what I assumed, doing the evil playthrough (in both games) really made him a more boring character than doing the good playthrough. Which is...weird and counterintuitive, but true for me at least.

I'd have to score ME2 way lower than you - I'd give it around 7/10 - but I was never a fan of it. I played male Shep, which may have had something to do with it, but I was constantly pissed off about how smarmy the character was despite my best efforts, and the lack of romance options that I was actually interested in. I didn't like Liara at all which really meant the shoehorned love plot was tiresome, and the characters I would have liked to romance (Kasumi and Zaeed) were both unromanceable due to being DLC.

Oh jeeze, and here I was thinking that being evil might make him more interesting, I played as good and couldn't stand him. Idk, maybe I'd have more fun just blowing shit up as evil rather than being good.

I played fem!Shep from the get go but my bf told me that fem!Shep is the better of the two as he's played both. Yeah, having no romance options you liked would suck, I got Garrus(in ME2) as fem!Shep and was perfectly happy with that because I also had no interest in romancing Liara.
