OMG, I'm not a germophobe. Can you honestly not see how people would be disgusted by the thought of urine or feces getting on that seat? A cinema is NOT the venue to change a baby, especially since most have perfectly fine changing tables in the ladies' restrooms.

It's why they install changing stalls in bathrooms. So IN CASE SOMETHING UNFORSEEN does happen and baby diarrhea gets everywhere, it's not in a place that can't be bleached and wiped off.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but odds are the seat you sat in had been peed in already by an adult. Guess how often they deep clean/replace those seats.

I can kinda see this argument if you have a boy because he might pee in the air when you're changing him, but other than that...how are things gonna get in the seat if you're doing it right? How is it unsanitary if you put a cloth down and nothing but the cloth touches the seat...?

With a penis, you can almost always tell if it's immiment, and a cloth over it does the trick. Only had one or two accidents, at home, when newborn.

So, I'm generally on the side of people who are more laissez-faire about public entertainment and kids, but...changing your kids on the backseats is unsanitary and hugely selfish. Accidents do happen, and not only is it gross for the next theatregoer, but you just made a disgusting mess for the cleaning people at the theatre.

Eyeroll from me, who does it. I travelled around Asia with my baby too. I'm very good at changing the baby wherever and with the sheer amount of disinfecting, it's cleaner than most adults. Get a grip.

How is an infant crying once and being taken out of the theater until they calm down any worse than people chewing popcorn, slurping, shuffling, snuffling, whispering, getting up and down to go to bathroom, talking, texting, etc.?

Presumably, if anything got on the seat, they would clean it up or alert the staff.

Otherwise, nothing is going to get on the seats.

If you are going to worry, worry about the people who wipe their boogers on the seats, spit on the seats, vomit, or jerk-off (all of which I've seen or directly heard of happening). Adults are far more likely to make a mess they won't clean up that diaper changes.

What do you think she did? Smear the seat with faeces? Parents have all sorts of fun things in their nappy bags, including change mats, disinfectant wipes and nappy bags. That baby butt may never even touch the surface it's being changed on. Get a grip.

I'd be more concerned about the crap that goes on in the seat with adults. Figuratively that is.
