I don't get that ship at all. Draco bullied Harry. It wasn't like they were just rivals. Draco was an outright bully and not much more than that. Then again, Harry named his son after Severus, so he seems to be able to overlook being bullied pretty easily.

Harry/Ron all the way, though. My most recent reread has made me ship them even more than i did before.

Any ship where Harry is gay (unless it's purely for smut, in which I approve) makes me want to vomit. Harry is so clearly straight that you're wilfully misreading him if you make him gay. You should just make up your own character then. I just *cringe* with those stupid awkward scenes where Harry has to explain to Ron or Hermione or Ginny "yup, I'm gay and I fancy Draco/Snape/some other character who treated me like shit." Ugh! So embarrassing, such fanfic garbage.

The post-war fics or ones that take place during the war are what make me appreciate the ship (H/D) the most. War changes people, and while Draco was a coward as much as a bully--I like seeing darker war/post-war fics do something with him.

Equally, I love fics where extraordinary circumstances change their relationship and they still have to deal with the fallout.

JKR's comments notwithstanding, I saw R/Herm coming a mile away and it made all the sense in the world.
