Latin translation help....?

Can anyone translate this, or direct me to a site that can? I tried several online but they all either made no sense or they left half the words in Latin.

Et in lux perpetuo
Deu domine
Et in pax aeternus
Deu domine

Well, I think there might be a problem with the passage, because I don't think 'deu' actually means anything. I would assume that it's the result of some kind of misconstruction of 'deus' meaning God. Assuming that's the case, it would be something like "And in perpetual light, God is lord. And in eternal peace, God is lord". Or maybe "Oh God you are lord" or "God the lord". Something along those lines, anyway.

Thanks. It's probably that it's been written down incorrectly by someone only hearing the words and not really being sure.

Okay, a quick google search reveals an Alice Cooper song. Is that where it's from?

Is that Deu Domine or should it be Deus Domine? Deus Domine I've always read as the Lord God... lux is light, pax is peace... perpetuo is everlasting, aeternus is eternal.

But I suck at word order, so if this is supposed to be some kind of prayer, I'm unable to give it any sort of structure.

Probably should be Deus. A chorus sings it at 2.51, but it's hard to hear, for me.

It's called 'My God', and is really pretty neat. Many folks don't know, but Alice is a devout Christian. Just one who likes to sing about the devil and psychopaths. :)

Were you transcribing what you heard? I can't hear it very clearly either, but my best guess for the grammar to make sense would be

Et in luce perpetua (and in perpetual light)
Deus domine (dominus?)
Et in pace aeterna (and in eternal peace)
Deus domine (dominus?)

'Deus dominus' would be 'God is Lord' (third person), while 'Deus domine' would be something like 'O Lord God' (addressing god). I think I'm hearing domine, but I'm not 100% sure.

I got the lyrics online - they're in the liner notes of the album, so i can assume they're accurate as far as that goes, but not *that* accurate.
