Team fic ftw! \o/ I was never into Sam/Jack and the only way I could see that working was if it was part of a whole OT4 situation. It'd be interesting to re-watch and see what's changed.

When I was a kid I shipped Sam/Daniel like nobody's business. My 9 year old rage burned HOT when I noticed that the show apparently wanted her to hook up with Jack.

I get that, having also watched when I was 9 and 10. Nowadays they actually remind me a good bit of the Marauders: Jack=James, Sam=Lily, Daniel=Remus Lupin. Though the comparison doesn't really work any further than that.

LOL I never got ragey over it but yeah Sam and Daniel were either OTP or Epic Friendship, for me, at various points, and the writers basically pooped all over that. Never found fic for it though :-(

Jack/Teal'c forever! Man, they had all the chemistry. That scene in The Lost City when Jack can't even speak anymore and Teal'c comes in to check on him, and the look they exchange, and Jack touches Teal'c's cheek… augh! <3

I shipped Jack/Sam. In fact, it was my first ship. I still watch stuff from time to time and I still like my first ship most.

Anyway, I was wondering if you could clarify, OP? When you say team fic do you mean familial or sexual?

Also, if it's sexual what is your headcanon when Jonas comes in for a year?

Oh man I was originally a huge Daniel/Janet shipper, but i shipped her and Jonas in a really fucked upway. Jonas was so eager to please and guilty and diffident...dirty dirty thoughts i had.

I shipped and still ship both Jack/Sam and Daniel/Sam. For some reason, Jack/Daniel never did it for me, though I would totally read threesome fics. I read some good Daniel'Teal'c fics back in the day, though I never really shipped it. I also shipped Teal'c Ronan after that one crossover episode.

I see Sam/Jack only because Daniel is not Sam's "type" and in the 90's female characters needed "love interests."

I'd love to see what they would do with Sam if this was a new show. You know -- would she honestly be too brainy to connect on that level with someone else? Because that's always how I saw her.

I don't like a lot of OT3 or OT4 fic because one member always seems to be included because the others pity him or her and decide to include them.

I shipped Jack/Sam in the early seasons, but stopped after the year with Jonas because that was the point where you could tell that RDA just gave no fucks anymore and turned Jack into a huge bag of dicks, and Sam deserves so much better.
Team!Fic is great and I wish I could find more of it. Reccs, anyone?

I was always into Jack/Daniel back in the day until Jonas came and stole my heart. But I didn't ship him with anyone so I was kind of out of luck with SG1 fic. Then I got into SGA and have read some good Team OT4 fic (don't remember names/titles so sorry no recs) from that show.

I've heard things from the producers/writers that Sam/Jack would have been canon if certain things had been left in episodes of SGA or if the third SG1 movie had ever been made. I don't have strong feelings about the ship one way or the other. But it would have made some very long time, very devoted fans I know happy so I'd have been for it.

I like team!fic but only if it's Cam's team. I just don't ship Jack with anyone on the team. Whereas, I ship Cam and Vala with everyone.

I was all about Sam/Jack too. Then I found fic & got into Jack/Daniel with a bit of OT4 on the side. Also, thanks for reminding me I need to do a rewatch asap :)

Sam/Janet was my first OTP. Nothing else to add, though I could definitely see team!fic.
