Soooo... treat it like those other kinks you mentioned? Ignore it.

Of course you can ignore it, but it doesn't stop its prevalence being annoying, just like with everything else people complain about in fic.

I thought the OP's sadness was more about not liking a popular thing and equating it with less liked kinks than having to see it everywhere.

But as for ignoring it, I guess I can kinda get the frustration but... well, I guess how I would respond depends on if they're talking about AO3 or Tumblr.
