I made taco spaghetti for dinner!

It's plain old spaghetti that's been boiled for half of its cooking time in taco seasoning. I add black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, and onion to it, typically, although I'd really like to add ground beef or a little bit of sour cream once I can afford it regularly!

My specialty dishes are Gram's meatloaf and my husband's macaroni! I made it on Monday night for my landlord.

I'd like to try Turkish delight, because I've wanted to ever since I was a kid reading the Narnia books. I have no idea what it's even supposed to be like but I want to try it. As long as it isn't infused with bad magic.

Turkish Delight is like a cross between a gummy bear and a Jello cube covered in sugar. I haven't tried one though. Only seen them. But I hear that you can never go wrong with freshly made ones that are rosewater flavored.

I like gummies! Now I really wanna try some. Maybe they have some in Toronto somewhere, I should check next time I visit.

Hit up your local Middle Eastern/Mediterranean/Turkish grocery store. There happens to be on in Toronto, Burak Supermarket. (http://www.blogto.com/grocery/burak-danforth-toronto)

Neat! I'll have to remember to drag my husband there when I'm in Toronto next.

Oh, a big city like Toronto will definitely have it. Like the other anon said, Middle Eastern/Halal grocery store. I've only ever had fresh made Turkish delight at a restaurant, but a lot of places carry the boxed kind.

And Cadbury's makes a chocolate covered Turkish Delight candy bar, FWIW. :)

Turkish delight is actually pretty easy to make, it just takes a lot of time.

It's really just cornstarch and sugar and some flavouring/color. There are tons of recipes on youtube.
