Honestly, by the third episode the show had so thoroughly detached from any notion of reality that I felt comfortable rooting for Mary. I had really enjoyed her character before then, and everything was so fucking absurd anyway, that sure, why the hell not? Repercussions are for sissies. Go balls out, Mary. Shoot everyone. It'll all be better at the end of the episode.

I was also just excited to see Sherlock face something like a consequence, even if it was immediately taken back.
