Re: Yoga
I go to class 3 times a week and see different instructors and all of them say yoga is an individual practice, so basically you do whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Does that help?

Re: Yoga
(Anonymous) 2014-02-26 01:35 am (UTC)(link)I'm trying to find yoga dvds I like as can't afford classes right now and am interested......and I've only done it off and on and not consistently, but I'll say this about yoga: it's excellent stretching, when I was doing it, it greatly reduced/eliminated my muscle aches and back pains, and I think it helping me build up my muscle strength a bit due to it being bodyweight exercises--that is using your body's weight to build muscles--depending on the pose that i used.
I think give it a try and see if you like it. I really need to get back to it, the way my muscles/back aches.
I'm not sure how weight loss-y it is, but I do think it helps improve overall health and get your body in better condition.
Re: Yoga
I'm after that actually. It's not really weight loss I need, maybe just a bit, but I seriously need to get off my ass. Health wise I'm starting to see some problems I need to take care of. It could be a good choice in that sense.
Re: Yoga
If you're looking for something that will help you maybe start an exercise regimen, it's been a great motivator to keep me walking and getting out and about.
