Good high-iron foods on the cheap?
So, seeing as this place seems to have a lot of foodies and lots of other people with, uh, limited grocery budgets, I thought I'd ask here. Any recommendations?
The less perishable, the better, because sometimes I have to keep food up in my room if I want it to last.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-26 06:11 am (UTC)(link)I've looked for lists, too, and it usually seems to be red meat and certain veggies like spinach and chard. I just eat a lot of kale and call it done. Beef jerky would last at least a few days in your room, but that's expensive.
Would you trust a multivitamin? Women's daily supplements tend to have iron.

Still though, if you find you are too partial to specific foods, consider an iron supplement?
