Everyone always makes me say "dog" and "fog" (and words that rhyme with those). And August. Apparently I sound like I'm saying "dowwg," "fowwg," and "Auwwgust."

I was completely unaware that I had an accent until I went on a class field trip to Washington DC when I was 13. :)

When I went away to college, I got teased relentlessly for my accent. I actually took several years of elocution lessons to try to get rid of most of my accent, because a lot of people seem to think that I'm an uneducated hick once I open my mouth (and I worked damned hard for my master's and PhD).

Andrew Lincoln's is the worst. It's atrociously bad. It sounds like an Englishman imitating John Wayne at his worst. The only good accents from non-Southern actors I can recall were from the actor who played Morgan and Jon Bernthal in season 2. Half the characters that are supposed to be from the south don't even try imo

Yeah, I'm not going to deny that it is kind of hilarious to listen to him speak with no discernible rhyme or reason when it comes to pronunciation. But with everyone saying "OMG SOUTHERN ACCENTS ARE SO HOTTTTT" in the wake of his character's rise in popularity, it made me accept my accent more. I am not sure if that makes sense.
