Sounds promising. I'd check it out. Though not with male versions of main heroes. Anyway the ponies don't read to me as female, they're just... ponies. Maybe Rarity and Pinkypie, one has long hair, another is very pink. Flattershy is faminine also because of her long eyelashes. I don't remember if they voiced the characters unisex.

They might at the most do a genderswap episode if they feel so inclined, but I doubt that'd happen.

No thanks. MLP has always been about girls and for girls (despite what bronies think) and while it's fine to have some male characters I don't think making them the protagonists is a good idea. Little girls don't get enough media dedicated to them so I'd prefer MLP be left alone.

I wouldn't mind more development for some of the male characters I really like (but of course I also wouldn't mind it for the female characters I like). I like spin-offs that have male main characters (like Button Mash). It's interesting to explore.

But the show is about six awesome ladies, and it should stay that way.
