I dressed up as Rorschach for Halloween one year. Before the Watchmen movie. As an adult.

I scared the crap out of a bunch of unsuspecting kids.

Supernatural fanfic. Yep... Never finished the entire thing though. Gave up after a little over half a dozen chapters.

I swear it was only 60% my fault, (and also I was 15 and thought it was hilarious. It wasn't a drama thing, cross my heart.)

Wrote BtVS/Hetalia crossover fanfiction... sort of.

I didn't actually "write" it. I acted it out with my Barbies.

(In my defense: It was 4:00 AM, I'd stayed up all night studying, and I'd consumed too much caffeine to be able to sleep.)

I am having trouble figuring this out. Probably the weirdest thing to outsiders is my cosplay, but it's pretty normal by fandom standards. However, some might find it weird that I had no problem going on in public, non-convention places with it on Halloween (twice). One of those places was my church. I got some interesting reactions. :P

ETA: it is a Vriska cosplay, not the best-done but it's complete (makeup, wig, horns, "metal" arm etc.)

I actually created sockpuppets. But then my friend IMed me not knowing "we" were the same person, and I felt so guilty I stopped right away. In my defense, I was young and stupid.

I think I confessed later on, though.

When I was a deeply embarrassing 14 year old I wrote an angry letter to a fansite for my then-favorite book series (Dragonlance) because I disapproved of the "mean" (jokey) things they said about some of the characters.

Most of these are for Harry Potter.

- Called a fandom friend at five or six am her time because we literally couldn't wait to talk about the newly announced release date for one of the HP books. (I think it was Deathly Hallows.)

- I was part of a group that exposed a well known BNF for some of the shit she pulled. I wasn't really involved with the actual expose, but I knew it was going to happen.

- This actually isn't my proudest moment, but I once got in a flame war over reviews someone had left my friend, who was a minor BNF at the website. I ended up making things so much worse for her, and looking back it was such a petty reason to get riled up. :(

- Got a wolf calendar because it made me think of Remus Lupin. And a wolf wind chime. Yeah, I can't make fun of Edward Cullen fangirls.

Probably flame a friend on a message board for a book series we were both reading. IDK, we were bored and decided to be as angry and obnoxious to one another as possible but we weren't very good at it so we didn't even attract that much attention or get banned. Thinking back on it, yea, it was stupid. (Though, kind of insulting. HOW DAREEEEEEEEEEEE YOU NOT BAN ME!)

I worked at a convention for over a decade, cosplayed, am a regular here. I generally don't get involved in stupid shit. I just read about it later.

Tented outside a cinema for three days in near-constant rain for the last Harry Potter film. It was also one of the cosiest fandom things I've done as there was about 500 or so (probably even more) people there by the time the tickets went on sale and everyone was so nice, both people tenting and not. I was also pictured in an article about it in one of my country's biggest newspapers, lol.

I also tented out one night for Hunger Games tickets, though that was less nice as it was so damn cold outside.

I'm a sucker for wank, so I got into the Sherlock fandom. I even went to the Seattle Sherlock Con, expecting it to be nutso. But I haven't really seen anything that unusual as far as wank or overzealousness goes, I'm beginning to think you guys were lying to me. :(

Won a convention costume contest dressed (accurately) as a male character. This is notable mainly because it happened well before cosplay became the thing that it is now, and before cross-dressing in costume was common. And also because I couldn't look much less like a guy out of costume if I tried.
