Steve's sad that people apparently don't like his hair.

I never hear that, though? So maybe it isn't as many people as you think. Or maybe I'm just out of the loop, but either way I think that haircut is classy as fuck and attractive to boot. IMO Evans pulls it off a bit better, but they both look good.

I'm heavily into the MCU fandom and I've never heard anyone badmouth Cap's hair. In fact, I've seen some people lament the loss of his original hairstyle in the new movie. OP must be hanging out in unpleasant corners of the fandom.

Me either. I'm sure there are people who don't like it but tastes vary so much, that's just the way of the world. It seems Steve and his glorious hair have been accepted pretty well.

I haven't seen that either but there's mostly gifs on my dash and not a lot of discussion. (Beyond comments on Chris Evans' attractiveness, which I can only agree with.) Personally, I like both styles.

The swoopy thing in front!
I cannot get my hair to do that no matter what fancy products I use.

Neither can I. Granted I'm not a guy (not that women couldn't do it too; it's hot on anyone), don't have that haircut and have never tried, but the fact still stands.

I feel like this is one of those things that probably takes a lot of practice and patience. I'm not great with hair either but some people have an easier time styling it than others. Maybe there's youtube vids that explain how to do it? But idk how much help they would be.

I've concluded that you have to have a bit of natural waviness to pull it off.
Mine's perfectly straight and if I let it get too long in the front it's reminiscent of a certain beloved TV cannibal.
