Whenever I see a Homestuck secret I don't wonder about their sexuality; I wonder why none of them have any arms. That's the more pressing mystery to me.

It was a style decision, presumably to save detail so that pages could be drawn and uploaded at a fast pace. It's made fun of at the very beginning of the comic to fuck with the readers by trying to get them to help John find his arms.

One of the first commands we gave that little shit was to retrieve his arms.

I dont' think he has them all this time later but he's totally got arms dude.
