I'm pretty sure season 2 will fix that. She really didn't get a lot of time in S1, not to mention that there were some moments where she was extremely intense and creepy

Judging from the first season, there will probably be more catering to Levi's character due to his popularity than more focus on Hanji's character.

Seriously. They turned something that was supposed to be a tragedy for the scouting legion and made it more about Levi and how much of a 'tragic hero' he is. Made him even more overrated in fandom always going on and on about what a tortured soul Levi is. Ugh.

I'll stick to the manga interpretation thank you very much.
