Re: Inspired by #6 - What is F!S to you?
As to my own participation, I'm not sure I'm the best judge of this (the general picture is probably more obvious from the other people's point of view), but I think that ultimately it comes down to a real lot of Holmesian posts, an occasional monologue on my love towards Murder Rooms, and some weird opinions on the subjects I'm interested in.
As a rule, my interests are shared by a few people/shared by nobody, and I, in turn, am indifferent towards the things f!s folks tend to be passionate about (fandom things, too). Whatever, I don't mind talking to 0.001 people - I'm happy as long as there is someone to talk to.
I usually try to be reasonable and understanding when engaging in heated discussions, but I think there are many people who dislike me. IDK why. I'm not sure I feel bad about it.
I don't think it's due to the comm's negativity, though; I feel like f!s is a pretty nice place. It's like a multifandom soup, allowing cross-fandom&general conversations - there aren't many comms like this.
Also, I post a lot of secrets about obscure canons. But that's because my fandoms are obscure. The only exception is the ACD Canon+certain Holmesian pastiches. And I've posted many of the unpopular-opinion Sherlock secrets.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-22 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)I wouldn't say that. Just an observation from an anon who is here almost every day.
Re: Inspired by #6 - What is F!S to you?
Still, it's nice to hear.
Re: Inspired by #6 - What is F!S to you?
I know there's at least one anon, probably more, who don't like me. It's...amusing. Once it would have bothered me more, but honestly, I've learned that if you have an opinion and are vocal there will always be people who don't like you.

Re: Inspired by #6 - What is F!S to you?
Closest thing I get is when Ill_ommend and I discuss narcotics and we tend to get pretty close to angry, but even that has died down into a "I don't share your opinion, but I respect you" so...
For the record I don't dislike you either Dreemyweird!
now I am wondering if everyone secretly dislikes me, but are too nice to say so? If that is the case, you guys are awesome!Re: Inspired by #6 - What is F!S to you?
Re: Inspired by #6 - What is F!S to you?
I don't think you're going to get anon hate if you are merely disliked but not hated. People like dethtoll, noodly, and chard get anon hate. We'll just have to reconcile ourselves with getting negative vibes instead.
Plus, you are pretty nice with everyone&you don't get fixated on one topic. Doesn't help to make you disliked.

*shrugs* I fancy you're not alone, anon. I respect your right to dislike me for this.
