To be honest, it's mostly a place where I pimp the things I like that have tiny fandoms, in the hopes I can at least draw a couple more people to them.

I feel you :/ I actually did that a couple of times, and it made me very, very happy. But I fear that my fandoms are just going to end up forgotten by everyone but myself.

I have some free time. Any fandoms you feel like pimping now?

Murder Rooms is my all-time favourite TV show&book series (5 episodes, 3 novels). I'd be absolutely delighted if you gave it a go <3 It's a detective noir-ish thing about Arthur Conan Doyle and Dr. Joseph Bell, Doyle's university teacher and the/a prototype of Sherlock Holmes. In Murder Rooms, Bell is a Holmes figure and Doyle is his Watson. (well, technically. The dynamics and the characterizations are very different).

I have something of a hopeless literary crush on these novels. They contain genuine ciphers (a nod to DANC, of course)!

Other than that, you might have seen Rivers of London posts/secrets on f!s (a series of novels, a love child of Doctor Who and a crime procedural; has an awesome PoC protagonist and magical policemen) - maybe that's more up your alley than MR (especially if you're not particularly interested in Holmes).

What are yours?

Well, it's bad form to reveal what your secrets are, and the only thing I've been trying to promote that I haven't done a secret for is London Falling. (I think you already commented on a post I did about that series--you said it sounded a lot like Rivers of London.)

Yes, and it's on my TBR list thanks to you and a tumblr user whose url I don't remember. So I'll be reading it when I'm done with my Howard Engel book and the last novel of the Hornblower cycle. If you'd like me to write a post in GC when I'm finished, I'd be happy to oblige?

Depends on how much you like it. If you think it's awesome, pimp it all you want. If you're not impressed, ah well.
