I know that anime tends to make people between the ages of 15-35 look EXACTLY THE SAME but even most anime tend to make genuinely older people look older.

Besides, "old" is always relative to whatever age you're currently at. I assume the people saying this are in their early teens or something, so once they're in their 20s, they will be all "30 IS YOUNG IT IS 50 THAT IS OLD" and so on.

a) he was a protagonist prodigy like in Prince of Tennis

c) his name was Rival

.... has this OP been to Japan? I went in HS and remember being driven through a business area.... all the men looked like they could have been my age, but were more likely in their early 30s-mid 40s.
