I know, right? I'm surprised dreemyweird engagef them for as long as they did. That anon was just so damn obtuse. I think my favorite part was them not understanding that a person's culture and its attitudes can affect the media said person creates.

That and thinking everybody disagreeing with them were Americans. And how British culture is heavily Americanized.

It got to a point I really thought they were a troll, since they kept saying such ridiculous things. Like, saying that calling out rape in media is "fear mongering", but at the same time freaking out that people would actually negate their consent by falsely accusing them of being raped. In what universe does that happen?

A part of me thinks they could trolling, but if they're that Junjou anon then I don't think they are. I still have no fucking idea what they meant by that. I think they broke my brain with just how ridiculous their replies got.

They seemed very defensive and came across as if they were afraid someone would take their precious yaoi manga away.

Actually I'm an Hidoku Shinaide fan, I don't like Nakamura's style.

I was talking about two different things? I just don't see the point of calling out "rape" or "abuse" in media that doesn't have any. And Hidoku Shinaide does have rape, at first, but it certainly doesn't have abuse. Nemugasa sticks with Maya of his own will, and I can see why, Maya's all kinds of awesome.

I just don't understand why people get mad at those kind of stories, once it's clear they're nothing but fiction.

Though then again, if liking a story and accepting it as it is to you means you aren't capable of understanding it's just a story...

Oh lord. Either it's too early or I'm not smart enough to understand or maybe it's because I'm not familiar with yaoi but none of the comments in that thread make any sense to me. And I'm not actually sure I want them to.
