Is it me, or have FS anons gotten really obtuse lately?

Does this have anything to do with that yaoi!anon? Oh my god, that thread was beautiful.

Probably intentionally so. I've never had to ask, "Are you being deliberately obtuse?" so often as I have recently.

I just genuinely like the show, and don't feel that the quality has fallen anywhere near as far people are saying. It entertains me, I have a nice little ship in Steroline, and overall I don't think it's a waste of an hour.

But the people that whine and moan and shriek about how bad the show has gotten are driving me nuts. I'm not interested in going into Tumblr fandom where there is probably a lot more positivity (just a little too overwhelming a prospect), but the least I would ask of other places is to stop clogging up every discussion with how much you hate the show. It gets so old, so fast.

My favorite thing about TWOP closing is that Cindy McLennen no longer has anywhere to act like she's being crucified while she writes up recaps.

Speaking of that anon, does anyone think it was the same person who posted a Junjou secret making the same argument last year? That thread was pretty mindboggling too.

I do!! Throughout that whole thread, I couldn't help but think that it was them. If it is, then they're still as naive as they were then.

I was only a casual viewer, but I was still surprised to hear the Dan/Blair relationship called a "debacle" and people acting like it was the worst thing GG ever did. I was under the impression that the ship actually had a decent amount of support at the time. Was anyone else on the ground in the GG fandom at the time to comment on whether that storyline really was so hated?

What happened with the yaoi anon?

I'm still laughing at people thinking they were trolled by Greninja's reveal in the Smash Direct.

I wish belgian/french bandes dessinées were a fandom, an active fandom. So OK, lot of people read some, but nobody draws art and fics are frown upon!

I know I'm hooked to a new fandom when I start having mpreg plot bunnies for it. I don't even like mpreg per se, I think it's a way to explore the 'verse's particularities and limits. Are there magic? mad science? aliens? weird fuckery?

Not just the anons, seems all of FS has been having this problem lately.

I wish mpreg had more exploration of the actual mechanics and howsits. Mostly it's just surprise!pregnancy -> flash forward to baby!

Also I wish my fandom was more varied. It's always the one guy that's more often written like a stereotypical female substitute that is the magically pregnant one.

Yeah I really hate how they flaunt their degree privilege. Some of us have under 90, you insensitive pricks!

I disagree. I think you are all very acute.

This community has been such a literal life saver for me over the years. I've made some great friends through it and had a lot of fun. More fun than I ever thought I would way back in the start. But lately it seems to have taken a really negative turn and it seems it's causing more stress for me than stress relief. It makes me so sad because it's the only 'fandom' place that I'm anything other than a lurker, and I don't want things to change but they obviously are. I think I might have to just stop coming here alltogether because the negative impact is far outweighing the positive and I'm just sad about that.

tl;dr I hate that things have to change. I wish I still had fun at F!S but it seems that time has gone for me and I'm sad about leaving but think it's for the best.

I want Tumblr to leave.

Me too. It deserves a vacation. Maybe it'll send us a postcard.
