Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

This community has been such a literal life saver for me over the years. I've made some great friends through it and had a lot of fun. More fun than I ever thought I would way back in the start. But lately it seems to have taken a really negative turn and it seems it's causing more stress for me than stress relief. It makes me so sad because it's the only 'fandom' place that I'm anything other than a lurker, and I don't want things to change but they obviously are. I think I might have to just stop coming here alltogether because the negative impact is far outweighing the positive and I'm just sad about that.

tl;dr I hate that things have to change. I wish I still had fun at F!S but it seems that time has gone for me and I'm sad about leaving but think it's for the best.

That kind of logic does not work on my obsessive brain! All or nothing!

Probs going to leechblock the site starting tomorrow tbh. A forced break will definitely do me good.

When I'm feeling burnt out, I read old FS secrets from a few years ago. That way I can't join in the discussions and it's still compulsive behaviour, but less intense.

I've seen people try to comment on old posts and get replies like 'ew, why are you commenting on an old FS, you loser!' So that's a good incentive to just read.

That is a really great idea. Because yes, it is very much a type of compulsive behavior at this point and looking at old ones is a good middle ground.

I'm glad I could help. There's definitely something compulsive about FS. At least, the way I do it. I like to go through it at the end of the day as a way to wind down.

I left for a few months and felt better. In a better place emotionally too. I don't know if I'll keep up with FS anymore, but I do like coming by and making random posts.

Sounds like it's just you who needs a break there, man. I haven't seen anything more negative than usual, and it's certainly been better than when we used to be on LJ or, heck, when we just moved to DW and everybody was complaining that it was killing fs.

I had to take a break, too. There were so many dogpiles every day that I just couldn't deal with it and it was making me feel sick. Of course, I had that many more secrets to enjoy once I returned.

Sometimes it's like these things build up in my brain and once every now and then I just take a break from reading FS, a couple of days later I come back and catch up.
