[ FS Anon Meme ]

F!S Anon Meme (the ??th)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

(Today's post is below.)

Was the fandom really that diverse? I always thought that it was pretty heavily focused on Ed/Roy, Ed/Al, and Ed/Envy on the slash side of things while there was Ed/Winry and Riza/Roy for het. More popular ships tthen a lot of fandoms but not that diverse.

I wish there were more Roy/Havoc, Hughes/Roy and Hughes/Havoc.

There used to be Havoc/Fury and Breda/Fury, Winry/Scieszka and Paninya/Winry, Al/Wrath, Al/Martel, Al/Fletcher and Russel/Ed, Greed/Kimblee and Kimblee/Archer, Greed/Envy, Ed/Alfons, Scar/Lust, Dante/Rose...

Roy/Havoc is the only side pairing that more or less survived. Less than more, alas...

That's quite a lot of pairings, but did they have a decent amount of fanwork for them? I guess when I think of the words diverse and fandom, I think of a fandom with a lot of pairings that each have a decent amount of fic or fanart for them. Just wishful thinking on my part. The FMA fandom seemed dominated by only a few pairings.

At least Roy/Havoc survived it.. But anyway, I feel you. I wish my fandoms were as active as they were in their heydays.

Anon, I love you for remembering Al/Martel.
