Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

I don't seem able to develop an interest in anything new. All the Marvel movies that have come out in recent years, any new TV shows... the fandoms seem so active and fun, but the things I grow intensely interested in are always old shows where the fandom is hardly active any more.

What is it you like about them? Do you enjoy something more when it's finished and you don't have to wait? Common theme? Maybe if you can find something they share you can search out something newer with that. There are SO many TV shows out there now...I doubt you can't find at least one to interest you.

Are you me? Because I've got this exact same problem and I'd love to get into a shiny new fandom with a lot of activity but nothing has grabbed my attention. Instead, I'm over here in my own little corner in dying or dead fandoms. And it's even lonelier because most of my ships in these fandoms are rarepairs and there's no one to fangirl over them with. Or barely any new fic or fanart voming out for them. :(

Tell me about your rarepairs, anon. Gush all you want. I may not know the fandoms or characters, but I'm more than wwilling to listen. I know how much it sucks not to have anyone to gush over them with.

Same here. All of my fandoms have been closed for at least 6 years. I tried with Avengers and TW but, ultimately, I just don't care about them enough.
