24. Oh yeah, that movie scared the shit out of me when I was younger and now that I've seen it as a logically-thinking, mature person, I was like, "Why does everyone love this movie so much?" It's kinda ridiculous,how much love it gets (from the Hot Topic crowd). And Danny Elfman can't sing, and thus, shouldn't.

(I never do go to the people and say "OMG you reposted my lyrics in your blog/in the description of your Naruto fanvid on YouTube/etc without crediting me! I demand you honor me appropriately!" It's just when I'm talking to other translators and they're all "man I hate when people repost my translations without credit, don't you?" I kind of don't want to say "actually I enjoy it!")

1. I've gotta say, those are really pretty names (and I'm surprised to say Lionel kinda suits him). Did they change Sakura's name?

12. IAWTS^7 billion. Actually, when I was in high school, this was one of the main manga passed around to those just getting interested in anime. Definitely kept a lot of people interested.

33. I have to say that their character design was some of the most exciting... which goes to show how poorly a feature-length film resurrects characters it took three discs of PS1 data to grow.

37. We just have to work that much harder to carve out meaningful space in the net. It's still the case as I understand it that you can raise your own dA or Youtube. Don't give up.

I don't know, most of the time they're not trying to claim it as their own, they're just sharing the translation they found. Except for that one boy with the poetry contest, but I found that just kind of ridiculous (and was sort of flattered that he thought the translation was actually poetic enough for that, but that may say more about his taste than my translation). So... mostly I can't bring myself to get too worked up about it.

6. Subtext IS far more fun, totally. And I don't get what the issue is -- there's so many nice House/Wilson scenes this season, even if they're not all ZOMG SUBTEXT IS TEXT.
