Easter plans?

What it says on the tin, secret friends!

I'm going to make some paska for my room mate (it's her family tradition, and her family is too far away to visit on Easter) and then I'm going to have dinner with my brother and his wife and see my babby nephew.

I had to go back to college before Easter even started, so my plans are to get some work done and not buy myself any comfort chocolate eggs :( I might make myself pancakes on Sunday...

I tried to come out and help dye easter eggs, but our dog has a squeaker toy that was KILLING my ears. I tried to explain a few times that the noise was hurting me, I have Asperger Syndrome and NOISE SENSITIVITY is a part of it, but I got dismissed. Finally I took the damn squeaker when the dog wasn't messing with it and dropped it behind a cabinet where he wouldn't get to it (he has fifty other toys) . My youngest sister SCREAMS and yells at me and is just all "how DARE you. You're being MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAN to him"

She cares more about that dog than her sister apparently.

My parents are away for the weekend so I'm just hanging around. My friends and I have talked about having a Passover-appropriate dinner/hang out on Sunday, but we've been bad about keeping plans lately. I hope it actually happens. When I was in college Easter was a good reason to see my parents for brunch, but now it doesn't really mean anything to me.

Easter isn't really a big deal for us. I'll just melt down my eggs and make rocky road, whilst being hungover from my night out on Saturday. Standard. :D

I wasn't originally going to do anything, but I altered my plans slightly to go home and be with my family on Easter. It also means I'll get to see my little sister on her prom night!

We're not doing anything special. Honestly I'm just kind of envisioning a day of sitting around, watching TV, doing my nails, and chilling with my folks.

I miss going to church on Easter, but I also don't want to be That Person who only shows up on Easter, ha. (I don't really have a church right now. Too transient a phase in my life to go looking for one right before pulling up roots.)

Crossing fingers it won't rain so I can mow the lawn/sweep up leaves/fill in holes and general cleaning so I have a nice clean house. Might buy chocolate today to eat.

All of my family is too far away to visit so I'll probably just pick up some Lindor chocolate and try to watch the rest of Breaking Bad. My roommate is doing something with her church so other than a Skype session with my brother, I'll be alone.

I'm going to try to make cheesecake bars, probably set them on fire instead by accident, have dinner with my family, and eat some chocolate.

First order of business will be to get up and see if I'm feeling well enough to go to church. That's priority one.

If that goes well, or if it doesn't but I start to feel better by around noon, then I'll hopefully be able to drive halfway across the state to my grandma's house to spend some time with my extended family, who mostly live over in that area. That's priority two.

Any time that is not spent on those two things will probably be spent hanging around at home spoiling my four adorable bunnies, since it's Easter, and at least three of them were almost certainly impulse Easter purchases that someone got tired of and dumped by the roadside. (Literally they were all found by either me or someone I know by the side of the road. The fourth was a shelter bunny, abandoned by his owners when they were evicted, and I don't know any more about his background.) Those morons have no idea what they gave up; these bunnies are the best thing in my life.

When I feel like doing the work, I plan to bake a pile of potato. Baked potatoes are nice.


The only thing about Easter I pay much attention to is hot cross buns.

Yard work.

I'm visiting my family for Easter, but it's mostly an excuse to get in and handle most of the heavy spring cleanup on the yard so my mother doesn't put her back out doing it again this year.

The weather so far has not been cooperative.
