What's trashy about any of those names? Siobhan is a real name, Cindy is usually just short for Cynthia, and although the name is most synonymous with the car right now, Mercedes is a perfectly nice girl's name. The car was named after her.

Okay I get that for whatever reason you hate these names...but how are Cindy and Mercedes 'trashy names' ? Just admit you don't like them no need to try and claim they're "trashy".

I don't get why Cindy or Mercedes are trashy to you, but I do think that bastardizing ethnic names with a phonetic spelling shows a staggering lack both of class and of awareness.

You know lol I was prepared to actually humor this post. I've known several trans women who have picked names I secretly thought were cringe-worthy - I know a Venus. And while that's not an inherently bad name it's like, Lady Love Goddess, okay, we get it. :P

But the names you listed are seriously boggling me. Cindy? Cindy is a trashy name? That must be a UK thing because that's a common middle aged woman name here. Not remotely trashy. Cindy is like, Susan. Mary. etc.

on a totally separate non-transphobic post, I'd be interested to see what names people consider trashy.
