I've divided it up onto categories so people can more easily find what they like:

For example:
lj_refugees would go in "OTF: General."
roleplaysecrets would go in "Fandom: Roleplay."
science_fiction would go in "Fandom: Specific Genre."
fanlore would go in "Fandom: General."
Comms about Game of Thrones/ASOIAF could go in both "Fandom: Books" and "Fandom: TV."
Comms about Zutara would go in TV; Sansan would go in Books and TV like GoT/ASOIAF.

My friend athenemiranda is trying to get mgs_fanworks up and running, and oudeteron is trying to get mgs_slash working. Both are just parked at the moment, but if you're into MGS stuff, have a look.

What firefly99 said. I'd also recommend ff_meta and ff_exchange (which is almost at the end of the main annual round atm, but hosts smaller events year-round too).
