Look, I started reading Marvel comics because of the X-men movies back in the day. My friends picked up books because of various movies and cartoon shows. You see the fandom movies generate, and if even a portion of those movie fans go to check out a book, that's not insignificant. I don't know why you're so committed to the idea that it sucks to, if not cater to exactly, to accommodate new fans. Unless you just really like feeling persecuted or something.

The stories are still good, so I'm good.

Movies are ALWAYS going to sell more than comics. Hell, TV shows will have more viewers than comic readers. I mean, hell, you can take an 8-year-old to the Avengers movie, but I don't think most of them would want to dive into the comics.

But that explains it. It's not that your data is wrong. It's that you have no idea how to read it. That is...that is just precious.

1) Crack ship is a broad term and in my definition it is one.
2) People who think it's canon are delusional and that's who I was referring to. I have seen people who ship it go into full analyzation of 5 seconds as "proof" of their relationship. I casually ship it too but you have to admit there are some seriously delusional Sterek fans in the fandom. Period.

I didn't get into Teen Wolf for that reason. So I don't really care. You're not upsetting me. I got into it because my friend Nef said it was a shitty show I would love watching with her. She was right.

I understand why you'd feel that way. And I don't think anyone that ships anything is delusional, because...the point of shipping is to smush two people together, so, whatever.

But, as someone that gave TW a shot because of all the shouting about Sterek Moments and Feelings and this and that, I gotta say. For me, there really wasn't anything. And I went in looking for it. I would consider it a crack ship, and that is okay! I love crack ships!

I know dude, it sucks. I also started watching this show for Sterek. And while the show didn't really give me a lot of shippy moments, the fandom certainly did and I was reading fic like a mofo.

AND THEN I JOINED THE TUMBLR FANDOM. Man, what a mistake. I went from loving Sterek to loving every ship but Sterek. What a toxic, shitty fandom.

But hey, high five on Scott/Stiles. :3
