Not OP, but... vaginas are often wet naturally. Even without discharge, yeast infections, menstruation or even arousal. They just are. And if you sit naked on a surface and your labia majora opens at all or even your labia minora sticks out further than your labia majora (inner and outer vagina lips, if you will), your wetness will get on the surface. Have you people even seen a vagina? o_O

And yeah, they are wet. But, if you are so wet (other than for menstruating, ovulating, yeast infections, arousal, etc.) that you are messing up couches from sitting (with your legs crossed) for like 3 minutes something may be wrong.

Different women produce different amounts of discharge without it being a health issue. Some women have to wear pantyliners most days to keep their underwear from getting swamped. Unless it's a sudden change in the usual amounts, or the quality of the discharge is unhealthy (odd color and odor), it's not a "get thee to a doctor" type of thing by default.

I'd imagine that if someone had that much discharge they wouldn't be sitting on the couch all willy nilly (especially if one is an expert on sex and sexy things).

Oh, yeah, probably what's-her-face thought about that first, just saying it's not an unusual thing to wonder about when you see a lady plopping her bare crotch down on something (and something that people often don't consider, especially if male, because the practical realities of a vulva aren't discussed very often).

Nudists (well, the responsible majority) tend to have a "put down towels everywhere you sit" policy for just that reason. In their own homes, furniture would probably have lots of removable and washable covers.

That is you. Just because your vagina is dry like a wind pipe doesn't mean everyone whose vagina is wetter than yours needs to go see a doctor. That's what this is about; showing that just because a vagina is wet (to a hundred different degrees) doesn't mean it is diseased or needs medical intervention.

Excessive vaginal discharge can be a sign of any number of medical conditions, including a few STD's...so, actually it might mean exactly that.

Yes. It might mean that. But it does not inherently mean that. People whose vaginas are too dry need to see doctors sometimes too. That does not mean that everyone whose vagina isn't smack dab in the middle of the vaginal wetness/dryness spectrum is diseased or abnormal.

This along with the other discharge secret made me wonder if something was wrong with my parts. The only time I ever have any real problems with discharge is like a day of two before I start my period. But people were making it sound like every vagina should constantly be leaving little goo puddles everywhere.
