Idk if you all had this poll in here before but since I'm new, I'd like to know what does everyone in here think.

Since I only just watched New Who, I'd probably just relate with the companions from there, but you're free to choose from Classic Who too.

Favorite: I love most of the companions but Sarah Jane will always be my favorite.

Least Favorite: Probably Clara. I don't hate her but I don't really care for her.

Haha, succinctly put, and I totally endorse this. Favourite companion - though he's not really a companion - is the Brig. I still live in hopes of seeing a young Alistair doing something awesome.

Funny, I thought Turlough was a fan favourite for dislike... if you can have a favourite dislike.

Favorite Classic: Jo Grant
Favorite New: Donna Noble

Least Favorite Classic (that I've seen): Nyssa and Victoria tied for being kinda boring
Least Favorite New: Amy Pond, I guess

Favorite: I don't really have a favorite. I like most companions.

Least Favorite: Rose

Fave: Martha, Sarah and Donna (equally)

I'm still on Season 7 and haven't seen Clara yet but:

Favorite: Donna Noble, definitely. I also liked Captin Jack.

Least: Amy Pond.
I hate hate that woman and I'm thankful she'll be leaving in a few more episodes. She's so annoying and can't even act to save her life, ugh.

Favourite: Pretty much all of them but...

Least: Rose and Clara.

Fave New: DONNA, let me shout your glory from the rooftops oh shouty ginger one. Close runner-up is Rory, bless his practical little heart.
Fave Old: Kind of a tie between Ace and Sarah Jane, although I have a soft spot for the trio of Two+Jamie+Zoe (adorable pocket-size TARDIS team yes please)

Least Fave New: I liked her at first with Nine, but her relationship with Ten was SO unhealthy, and she was SO dragged out, that I grew to hate Rose. Still can't stand her, alas.
Least Fave Old: Didn't much care for Tegan.

...actually there's a lot of companions that I only like with one Doctor or another, or in one medium or another; like, I didn't much care for Turlough on the show but in the audiobooks he was great. Liked Rose with Nine and hated her with Ten.

If there was a good way to include them I'd love to have the Doctor co-opt Sarah Jane's companions at some point! Pre-trained humans in their prime, smart and resourceful and compassionate and good at running? He'd be all over that. (maybe I mostly want Clyde back on my tv screen is that a crime??)

Favorite classic: Jamie and Zoe. I also really like Nyssa from what I've seen of her.

Favourite: Romana
Least: Rose

For faves: Leela or Romana 2 if we're going old school. Donna if we're going new school. Lucy if we're going audios. Though Charlie started to grow on me a bit too.

For least: Adric; old school. Rose; new school. Though I'm not uber fond of Clara either though I think that has more to do with her craptacular storyline than the character herself.

I watched old who but I cannot remember most of it so I'll stick to new who.

Most favourite: Rose or Donna.

Least favourite: Amy.

Least Favorite: Rose, though Adric is tempting

Favourite: Jo Grant, Ace and the Brig. I actually like almost all the Classic companions, though Harry Sullivan and Mel were just sort of ... there. NuWho has more ups and downs, but my favourites there are Donna and Martha.

Least Favourite: Adric. Sorry, he's just not the kind of character I enjoy? I wasn't actually that fond of the Ponds, either.

Anything later than early Ponds, I haven't seen. I stopped watching NuWho after "A Christmas Carol". Which, now that I look it up, was about two/three seasons ago? I hadn't realised it'd been that long.
