I've only recently gotten back into FF7, and I'm not sure if Aerith v. Tifa is still a thing, and I really hope it's not anymore. For the record, I used to be a huge Aerith stan, but I largely ignored Tifa altogether until just recently. I've gained an incredibly huge appreciation for her in my current replay, to the point where's she's now one of my all-time favorite FF characters. I also like both, fwiw.

That, and I'm beginning to find there's really no basis for pitting them against one another over Cloud (despite a few moments here and there that may suggest there's some sort of rivalry for his affection), and the mere thought of it makes me disappointed. I can't even look at older FF7 fandom stuff because I occasionally come across anti-Aerith and/or anti-Tifa stuff and it makes me grumpy. XT
