F!S Anon Meme (the Tenth?)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it!

I heard a joke about anal prolapse a while back and ever since I've been on the verge of having a panic attack every time I have to crap. I know I'm probably freaking out over nothing, but I can't even google info about it to reassure myself because I'm squeamish and can't take the risk of seeing pictures *shudders*
Consequently I'm now constipated (and on my period to boot, SUCH FUN) and I really need to find some way to deal with this. Any suggestions?

It's incredibly unlikely that you'll have a prolapse. Take a deep breath, let it out slowly, eat some fiber, go for a run, and relax and let things go.

Sounds like a freaked-out intrusive thought. The bad news is that those are the kind of brain patterns that can turn into phobias if you don't look after them.

The good news is that you will not have an anal prolapse. They are extremely rare and virtually impossible if your bowels function correctly.

Think to yourself:

"I am safe."

"Nothing like that has ever happened to me in the past and it's virtually impossible it will happen to me in the future."

"My body knows how to stop itself from hurting itself."

You can also practice diaphragmatic breathing. Google it for advice.

I don't know how hard you squick out for it, but you will probably want to touch your own anus when you are on the toilet just so you get used to knowing what the normal way it opens and closes is like. This should help reassure you that nothing bad will happen to you.

And if the constipation is really severe, I recommend dried apricots and water.
