Both ZX games are awesome, and just. What you find out about Prommy and Pandy in ZXA is one of the few times a videogame made me sad. (And the only way to ship Prom/Pan is to have it be subtexty and creepy, or at least that's how I see it/ship it. *cough*)

Although, there is such a thing as a strong bishounen character as well, not all of them are weak in body or emotions. Really, the name just means 'handsome/cute guy' in the first place ;)
Even those that look more female-ish are not all the 'OMG help me' waiting-for-a-knight-in-shining-makeup types :). Thank goodness :)

PW fandom really came through for me back when I first got into it, and I just kind of wanted to do something in return for all the support everyone gave me when I really needed it and the like. You logic, it does not apply. How does liking manly characters make one a damsel in distress? Looking back, some of my favourite characters are 'manly men' with strong chracaters, but because I see them as role models, not because I want somebody to save me. And everyone has different reasons for liking a characters, anyway.

(Sorry, I guess I'm one of these people who fan for characters because of their personalities. Also, I had no idea that the body type of a char was that much about his personality. Some artists draw all the men manly and with some, they all look like girls. Maybe I'm just in the wrong fandoms...)

I've often wondered that too. I think that Buffy is an overly hyped, overly long show and I reaaaallllyyyy don't like it.

And, yeah, I wanted more Firefly. Actually, the movie made me want to watch the series. Having watched the series, I realised the movie wasn't as good.

But I sat down the other day to rewatched the series (Wash <3) and I suddenly though 'Maybe it's a good thing this stopped and DIDN'T get the chance to keep going like Buffy or Angel...'

So, yeah, I see EXACTLY what you mean.

(Firefly ftw though. That series always makes me smile.)

I'm far from a "damsel in distress" (incredibly far from 'damsel' at all) and I'm quite insulted by your hypocrisy and/or stupidity. Given your "I WANNA MOMMY ALL TEH BISHIES" statement, I'm assuming you're not talking about bishounen in the way I understand and can tolerate. I assume you're talking about Wapanese Idiotic Bishounen.

2. Bishounen - as far as my understanding goes - is a word used to describe a pretty man. Not a crybaby femme-boy with long golden hair and weepy eyes that leak tears at every stupid thing. This, ironically, is an exact mirror of the "damsel in distress" crap you seem to be so snooty about. Which would then mean that you are the overly masculine, boring, stereotype that goes around rescuing them. :O

3. "Too busy being super masculine to have interesting personalities". Much like the way Wapanese Bishounen are too busy crying over broken teacups to be of any interest whatsoever. Even when the masculine characters are as stereotyped and retarded as your Wapanese Bishounen are, they'd still be more interesting just on novelty value. Seriously. How often do these men make an appearance in anime, especially the kind of Wanime bullshit fangirls watch? Except maybe to look at your Wapanese Bishounen the wrong way to make them cry. This would be one reason why your Wapanese Bishounen are not popular amongst people who aren't completely shallow :) Pretty characters =/= your Wapanese Bishie.

4. It is possible to rescue the masculine characters. It's kind of like... when a character has a personality that's worthwhile (and not some crybaby wuss, as you have described) they tend to be more human and hence more varied. Actually, being more like real men, are probably much more likely to need help in the first place.


I'll explain my personal hate for your Wapanese Bishounen. They are all the same, and they are all sickeningly pathetic. I would take great pleasure in watching these wastes of space die rather than listen to them emo and whine 24/7. But you know, whatever floats your boat. I tend to go with people who have personalities, but whatever.

As a side note, how about you tell your fellow Wapanese Bishie Fangirls to STFU? I'm kinda tired of having your clan's wank all over fic/art/forums about my favourite characters kthxbai.

1. Man... I should replay 3 one of these days. I only borroewed it from a friend, but stopped playing around the time-skip. Sounds like I missed out on one hell of a journey during my formative years if it could affect someone this bad.

8... I still haven't gotten around to play EITHER of the ZX games, even though I played all of the Zero-series... but this secret only fuels my desire to play these games, and to play them now.

I never thought the day would come where I would see a statement like this, and respond by rolling my eyes and say something catty and put-down like 'oh come on buddy Emo-bang up there is so gay for his traitor-captain it's visible from the moon'. 32. Kinda find myself agreeing with you here. I did actualy think that, for a while at least, there was a chance he would stay dead, but... well. Doesn't look like that's happening. Would've been cool though. In the end, I wouldn't blame anyone who wanted him alive, even though I have no particular love for the character. Because I really wanted Crowley to live and got what I wanted.

34. ... Meeeh, I can see good things in it alright, and I don't believe the fans that whine and mewl and bleat that this is the end of BLEACH... but at the same time, I can't say I really like it as well. It's done things wrong, but also done them right in my opinion.

42. WHy, you ask? Because buddy boy, it was a followup to Final Fantasy 7, well-loved epic videogame. Making something that was less than stellar and awesome and epic would result in it being shot down and burned on effigy.

At least, that's what I figure. I lent it from a buddy, and as fun as I actually had shooting stuff, it wasn't fluid enough for me to like it. Also the villains were meh, with not enough development or personality. In short, it was... a halw-way decent sidestory, but as a true sequel it just wasn't up to snuff.
