Haha, that would be hilarious. (And brutal, but still hilarious.)

Chipping in with my rec list:

The Aztecs (1stDoc): The original TARDIS team, fulfilling their original BBC mandate to educate as well as entertain. Yes, it's stagey as hell, but it's fascinating to see the seeds of so many future quirks being sown.

The Time Monster (3rdDoc). A quintessential UNIT family story, everyone's settled into their roles for a fun runaround, Jon Pertwee gets to show a bit of range and you get absolute proof as to why Roger Delgado was taken from us too damn soon.

Genesis of the Daleks (4thDoc). First appearance of Davros, but even so worth watching for proper grownup morality (VERY unusual in Saturday teatimes of 1975)and some stellar performances from dear ol' Tom and Lis Sladen.

Black Orchid (5thDoc). Bit of a palate cleanser, this one. A spot of cricket, a spot of tea on the lawn, a spot of Something Nasty lurking in the shadows. There's a couple of moments that demonstrate that a) Peter Davison was really underrated and b) good grief, there's seldom been such punchable companions as Adric and Tegan.

Remembrance Of The Daleks (7thDoc). One of the high spots of Slyv's tenure, among the bangs and crashes is a conversation about sugar that proves he is't just a broad comedian. Also, you'll see the precise moment Ace became my hero (hint: Dalek vs. magic baseball bat).

I wish I could go back to college; life was so simple back then.

Extremely late to the party, but I am getting an exercise bike! You know how cats have that thing where out of nowhere they just have to go really, really fast for no reason? I kinda have that, with less crashing into things, and more frustration that most of the time going outside means almost dead from hot or cold these days. Soon I won't have to worry about it anymore!

I wish I had the money and room for an exercise bike. Or a treadmill. :C

I think it's alright if you allow the epithets while you are trying to get stuff down and then remove them (I'd say find and replace but it's probably not that easy) while editing/after betaing. I know what you mean though. I try to avoid them too.

Not a lower drive but very hard to orgasm and hardly satisfying. Seems like some loss of sensitivity too.

I came here to post something along the lines of this, but it would not have been as well-written.

Wait, Peter Purves is horrible? But he's the hottest male companion!

Re: What's your weirdest kink?

(Anonymous) 2014-08-30 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a girl so I can't speak for male experiences, but from what I hear it's no more painful than inserting a catheter when done properly. If using smaller instruments, it supposedly feels more "odd" than painful, but its all largely going to depend on amount of lube, size of the sound, how careful you are (or whomever is inserting it for you) and if you are using the proper materials (buy sounds made for specifically for the kink, don't use random objects as that can set up infection and might not be smooth enough for comfort)

There's a lot of places online to look up men describing their experience with insertion and it made them feel. (http://bdsmforbeginners.blogspot.com/2010/07/part-24-urethral-sounding.html?zx=bbf5e4452e547368) This blog has some info on it

I wrote an entire NaNoWriMo novel about the adventures of MAINCHAR1 and MAINCHAR2. No, seriously, that's what I wrote in place of their names the whole time, simply because I couldn't think of good names for them.

If I'd ever wanted to turn it into something I'd show anyone else, I'd have eventually done a search-and-replace. But when I was just trying to crank the word count out, it saved me a lot of time fretting and searching through name-meaning sites.

Knock Out is the best narrator for one's life.

(I also imagine a Transformer doing narration for my life...but it's not that lovely snark-god. Instead mine's the judgey jet plane. I mean Starscream. As in the same Starscream that totally blamed Knock Out.)
