In fic: unnecessary epithets. Hate those things.

So. Much. This.

Holy crap, yes. There's a writer in my fandom who has some sort of aversion to pronouns, so at every point where a person would normally write "he" or "she," she feels the need to use an epithet. It's so annoying.

When someone talks about how good things used to be in whatever fandom, but hasn't kept up with it.

For fic, when a character is described as filthy (example :When Bucky finally shows up he has been living on the street for 4 weeks.) but a paragraph later another character has sex with them.

I don't care how much you missed someone, do you really want to suck the dick of a guy who has not showered in weeks?

Yes!

Or vomiting / eating something gross / ingesting some kind of poison and then kissing.

Or H/C with sick people who are still contagious ending in kissing or sex.

When I find a really interesting pair of siblings and try to find fanfic for them, only to discover that it's all incestuous shipfic. (This isn't meant to be anything against the people who write incest shipfic, it's just that I personally can't read it and it's annoying when that's the only fic about what are, in canon, platonic sibling relationships.)

Seriously. That disappointed me so much when I got into Firefly, went online to find fanfic... oh.

Memetic Sex Gods
Draco in Leather Pants

and when a fandom is hugely dominated by one pairing and every other possibility is overlooked as "bah, crack pairings".

Just... if they're writing an actual romance fic and don't put in the work to make it believable

Example:

C1 and C2 meet and hate eachother. But then it goes... "I hate him but damn that jerk is so attractive." + *Randomly has hate sex* = Instant feelings!

No, you're going to need more than physical attraction to make me continue to freaking read this. I need a believable feelings build up! Relationships aren't all about lustful thoughts and sex!

Plus love at first sight in AUs/original fic. I'll quit reading it right away if there's any hint of this.

Super OOC fanfic. Period.

-Independent!Harry Fic. Urghhhh these fics make me roll my eyes so fucking hard. Even worse that they tend to end up bashing other characters . I just find it annoying that people seem to prefer a Harry that hates everyone he used to know and love in canon. and "THEY ALL BETRAYED ME WEEHHHH" gets so tiring.

-DP fic where Danny's parents are turned OOC!abusive for angst. Like I get good fics about "what if his parents rejected him" but they have to be well written. But fics where they abuse him for no reason than "the dramaz" are just...ick.

Independent!Harry can sometimes work well if it doesn't go too far, if he doesn't become an ass, and if he still has friends and cares about people. But yes, far too many of them are excuses for the authors to bash other characters or the Wizarding World in general.

I have a sickness where it comes to HP fic.

I find that a lot of independent harry fics, while containing the character bashing that you mention (and which I hate) and also making Harry into some amalgamation of Merlin and Jesus, also contain some really interesting worldbuilding and plot elements.

so, I ah, read a lot of that. LOL

I read anything in HP, though, no matter how ridiculous. I have standards for other fandoms, just not that one.

Character bashing. Always. Even of characters I don't like. I think it is bad writing.

Super OOC characters who are clearly only written that way so the author can write the specific plot they want.

Basically, characterization is super important to me. I can forgive a lot if the characterization is good, but even a well-written fic that has bad characterization bugs me.

Yesssssss, all of this.

There was a chaptered story in my fandom that was semi-popular, and it got to a point where an event happened and a lot of people who were reading it were just like 'WTF??' because it was super OOC of the characters and the whole story leading up to that point was completely different.

When people don't tag things that maybe not everyone would want to read.
I don't care if a certain trope is immensely popular/common in a fandom, it doesn't mean that everyone automatically wants to read about it. M-preg is a very common thing that people "forget" to tag.

When a fanfiction turns into a SJW-Lecture about snowflake sexualities or gender issues. Doubly so when they choose a completely unsuited character to do it.

And one thing that I noticed because I started reading anime/manga fanfiction again recently: Not every country works like the US. Please do at least a very tiny amount of research.

- Spending tons of time describing a canon character's appearance; if said character recently got a haircut or changed into a different plot-relevant outfit, fine, but for the most part, I know what he/she looks like.

- Fandom-specific, but Rock Lee drinking alcohol without any adverse effects

Everything else I would say has been said already.
