What are you feeling guilty about?

(Anonymous) 2014-09-19 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I killed a spider instead of letting it out.

What about you?

You too? My excuse was that was it was late at night, and too close to the shoes in the closet. But the extra guilt factor was that I killed it with a dumbbell. Now that I think about it, why didn't I use one of the several shoes that were right there?

Funnily, I have the same excuse. It was late!

I took an afternoon nap the other day and dreamed that I redecorated Chris Pratt's living room for him and then later in a different place was hit on by the Joker as he whispered in my ear that he'd go down on me multiple times over. I am embarrassed by what that may imply. :x

Not calling back my best friend that lives three states away from me. I just am kind of tired and it's usually so difficult to hear her on the phone and there's good stuff to talk about, but I just don't want to do it tonight. The worse thing is that's she has tried to call Monday and today and keeps missing me (I'm not avoiding the phone on purpose, just didn't hear it or wasn't near it).

Spent $15 on soap, nail polish, and hair color stuff. Some of it was on clearance and I had a coupon for $3.50 off if I spent $10 or more, but I still feel a little guilty spending money on stuff I don't need.

But sometimes buying a few small, fun, frivolous things can be an investment in your well-being. KInd of like in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, when Francie's mother always lets her have a cup of coffee every morning even though she never drinks it--she just loves the smell. And the neighbor lady thinks that's stupid, seeing that the Nolans are so poor they only get to eat meat once a week, but Katie--Francie's mom--doesn't want her to grow up feeling so poor that she has to watch every penny and never have anything nice.

That's hardly a fortune, though - and sometimes small things can make you happy?

Sometimes small things can make a big difference in your mood. Maybe you needed to indulge yourself.

I never tried any warming lubricant, is it any good?

I didn't get a good enough amount the first time. Think tomorrow I might try like..bringing it in the shower with me or something and see if it works better.

Sorry if I'm creeping you out.

Procrastinated like crazy and was late as a result. It's like Big Bang Theory.
Someone: You're so late. Something happened?
Sheldon: No. I just really didn't want to come.

I have a friend who tends to set unrealistic sights because she has an idealistic worldview, and she'll tell me how she can't believe her sister (the only one to really speak up) doesn't believe in her. Except I 100% agree with her sister most of the time.

I voted No, but now the politicians are already reneging on their promises, like they didn't even wait a whole day. The other no supporters are all burning saltire flags and chanting sectarian slogans. I feel so guilty. I should have voted Yes.

what on earth is going on in Scotland?

Currently? I'm neglecting an old friendship.

There's this friend I'm less in touch with. She's one of my oldest friends, but the thing is we have less and less in common. She has two kids (one of which I'm convinced has some medical issue but she's in denial about it), she's constantly talking about how awful her husband is (so why have a second kid and not leave him, grr). More so, she's now a STAHM and all the things we used to have in common, well, she rarely participates in anymore.

So basically, our contact is gradually fading. I feel sort of guilty about it, because she was one of my best friends and she went through some rough shit as her mom died.

But, I just do not connect to her anymore. More so, I feel she makes life choices that make her unhappy, then complains about it, but doesn't do anything to change things - on the contrary, she doubles down on bad decisions. It's just so frustrating to watch I often rather just not hear about it.

I understand completely, particularly with your last paragraph. This is basically me and my best friend. It's hard to accept but. SHRUG.

Your first paragraph fits pretty well with what I'm going through. My friend has three kids, a husband she only sometimes likes, and those things (plus her issues with her mother, brother, etc) are about the only topics she's wanted to talk about for years now. These days we only text now and then and when we do, it's usually just to ask, "Hey, how you doing, how is the family?" It's disappointing but not new.

I've blocked the post of several people I went to school with on face book because they have all become creepy, Jesus has completely taken over their lives, Evangelical Christians. I don't want to hurt there feeling because before we lost touch a few of them were some of my best friends, but I have no fucking clue how to talk to them anymore.

Still haven't watched a DVD that was imported from Japan for me. Granted, I had to find a way to play it with the regional lockouts and stuff first, but I downloaded a player for my laptop and verified it would work, but I just haven't done it yet.

(Mostly because my poor health tends to get worse with emotional stuff triggering flares, and I love this canon and its characters so much that I know that some of the stuff that happens in the movie will affect me and probably make me feel really awful physically - even though I really want to see how it all plays out because I've been avoiding spoilers for MONTHS.)
