(Anonymous) 2014-11-10 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)OP you're doing huge amounts of damage to your own sense of self-worth by equating the work you're doing with praise, when your self-worth should only be dependent on realizing you've done the work, that you've created and acomplished something great in and of itself.
Enjoy comments and feedback as/when you get them. But to make them the dealbreaker your creative effort turns by is terribly harmful to you in ways that go beyond writing fanfic. Trust me on that, please.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-10 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)Like the anon above says, once that's your frame of reference when it comes to your creative works then you're setting yourself up for unproductivity because if the reward you associate with your work doesn't come - and it's never guaranteed to - then eventually it's "why bother making the work at all?" you know?
