My Inquisitor loves to flirt with Cassandra with no hope of ever romancing her. Cass doesn't like girls so I'm out of luck. Doesn't mean I'll stop using her as my main tank. I don't have to choose the flirt options after all. So really, I understand but think you're being silly.

But I do like that Vivienne's response to the flirt changes depending on approval. She shut my Qunari down quick at one point then was a lot sweeter about letting her down later on. You're missing out on some wonderful banter at the least. Skitter, skitter, skitter.

Not being able to romance Cass is the bane of my existence. Not that it stopped me from using her. She had great commentary and she's the best tank. I love that you can flirt with her even if she eventually turns you down. Her and Cullen were really good about that.

Granted, when I flirted with her (always soon after recruiting her, so she didn't like me) she always immediately shut me down, but I do think it makes sense with the way she's written.

As gorgeous as she is, and as good as some of her banter is (especially with Bull), I don't think I'd want to romance her. However I do understand how it sucks to not be able to romance who you want. I still wish Scout Harding was a full romance.

Viv broke my heart too. But damn, she's soooo good to have in your party. And her banter with Iron Bull is most excellent.

ha I felt the same when they first announced she wasnt a romance ;_; but after her personal quest I understood. I cant believe the amount of hate she gets online, she was always nice to my Inquisitor.

Viv is a diva. She's to good for any and all Inquisitors.

Same thing goes for Varric. Varric > Thorin as far as sexy dwarves go.

Everyone with a V name is extremely fuckable in Tamriel but they are all about the friend-zone. Doesn't matter. They deserve to be lusted after, regardless.

Frankly, the whole DAI cast is loaded with sexy bitches. Except for Solas. I hate him.

Yeah, not being able to romance her was pretty crushing for me. Love her look and her character. But I was thankful for there at least being a good story reason for it and not just her being an ice queen stereotype.

Personally, I never take her in my party because I don't like her attitude and I usually only bring one mage. I've heard so many people say she's very useful in fights though, and I'm just wondering, is that just when you automatically assign her skill points and make sure she has a good weapon, or are some characters just "better" than others? Because I have manually assigned her points, and I have no idea if I made her the strongest she could be. What is it that makes her more useful against dragons than Solas or Dorian? Just so I know on my next playthrough :)

I just started playing the game and I've only just made it to Skyhold so no spoilers please! Buuut my impressions of Vivienne so far are: a) she's a lot more beautiful then she was in the images Bioware released beforehand, seriously her face is perfect and b) she hates me so much because I freed the mages and told her mages should be free. Before that I think we were building up okay, but then I got several massive disapprovals in a row. I wish I could see the approval bar like the other games to gauge if it's possible to salvage our relationship but it doesn't look good so far. I need to be better about paying lip service to characters and just agreeing with everything they say, man they ask my opinions but fuck if they really want them!

Ugh, Vivienne. I really wanted to like her, but she was always so rude and condescending to everyone, and her presence never really contributed anything to the plot, either. Hardly ever used her in my party except for like 2 dragon fights when I realised she had a heal ability. Otherwise I'm not sure what she's there for |: So disappointing.

...I will never understand why people don't just. Check who is and isn't romanceable and by who before playing the game. Why set yourself up for disappointment?

Although knowing in advance doesn't make it hurt any less that I can't have Cassandra.
