For point and click's the Broken Sword trilogy is pretty fun(and on Steam too! It was in a £10 bundle for all three games but I'm not sure if that's still going). And there's the Myst series too which is also a point and click puzzle/mystery/adventure game.

I work at a university, and as a middle-aged woman I find the young male undergraduates almost always move aside so as not to bump the mom-aged lady. The last time I was slammed was by a small woman who chose to walk down the dead centre of the sidewalk, and I chose not to step off into the snowbank to get out of her way. I moved to one side, she stuck to the middle, and she bumped me pretty hard. Since I was a lot bigger, it wasn't much of an inconvenience.

Back in the 90s there was a rash of young guys flinging themselves through concert crowds upending people, which was just bizarre. I actually hip-checked one such young arsehole and knocked him staggering, and I hope he felt as stupid as he looked.

Thanks for the information. However, I think I need more information before I ever get to the point of picking something to download. I did download a torrent and nothing happened. There was a thing on Kickass that said I needed another program too.

Cyril/Ray from Archer. They've had some cute moments together, like when Ray painted Cyril's face to make him look "fierce", or when Cyril told Ray that he genuinely liked him and appreciated his friendship.

Oh, both Left Hand of Darkness and Word for World is Forest happen in primarily rural settings as do many of Sheri Tepper's novels, although Tepper and Le Guin are pretty heavy. The sunny California weather is probably the least depressing part of Parable of the Sower. Barsoom is a fun read if you can handle John Carter.

On Hanson's first album they had a song called "Lucy," which the then-twelve-year-old drummer explained as a song about how, if Lucy really did go away and leave Schroeder alone, they thought he would miss her.

So at one point the boys in Hanson may have shipped Lucy/Schroeder!

I know one, in fact; she wrote fantastic het fanfic, and writes m/m pro. And hates that her pro stuff isn't mainstream enough to make people want to read it, since she writes fantasy/SF m/m, which isn't want m/m readers seem to want (but fandom does but doesn't seem to want to pay for m/m, so let's just round and round that vicious circle).
