Weekend Plans

It is going to be a delightful 70 degrees Fahrenheit this weekend! So, I hope to get my shelves completed. Been pretty slack on the front because of how cold it has been. I'll also being going to my mother's baptismal on Sunday. I am not very religious but it is important to her. Afterwards, we'll be making her a delicious celebration lunch.

What are your plans for this weekend?

Working my first eight-hour retail shift since the holiday rush, which was bonkers but more organized than this weekend is likely to be. Not sure if prepared.

I'm going to work on my Big Bang and hopefully get a big chunk of it done.
I'm also hoping to catch up on some TV shows.
And my dad's leaving town next week and wants me to update his iPod, which means I have to wrangle him to tell me what books on tape he wants.

I'm going to try and get my shit together enough to visit a friend, make soup with her, and watch a scary movie. I unfortunately already had to reschedule once, on account of lunacy.

I've been really out of it the past couple days, groggy, disoriented, and confused, and I'm really hoping it clears. Which means I'll probably be doing some unpleasant brainwork in the next day or two. Other than that, I've written six stories for writeathon, and still have two prompts to go, both involving scared robots. It'll be great.

My mom wants us all to visit my grandfather in the hospital because it looks like he probably won't last much longer. I really don't want to go see him like that again but I don't feel like I can get out of it.

Lets see. Tonight I'm enjoying a tall glass of hard cider. Tomorrow I'm going to go out early. I want to see Jupiter Rising, but we're supposed to get more snow, so I want to beat it. Then I'll be doing laundry and reading a lot of fanfics and continuing my Buffy rewatch. Sunday I'm going to be working on a cover letter for a job application that is due in two weeks.

I'll be running an errand in Columbia. I'll be depositing a check, then running to the Barnes and Noble to spend my gift certificate. I want some new Tessa Dare books because I need some Happily Ever Afters in my life. Then I'm going to indulge in Chipotle.

When I get home I want to watch 'Romancing the Stone' because I've had that dvd for forever.

Going to my second niece's christening tomorrow, but Sunday is going to be my usual 'doing fuck all' day. I'll probably bum about and watch TV or play Warcraft.

I'm eating dinner with my parents tomorrow. That happens a lot though, since we are also neighbors. Other than that it's pretty much exercise bike while watching old anime, and hoping it does get warm enough to go outside and goof off.

I did have a kinda interesting day today though. I made a comment on one of those "mystery tuna creature" articles two days ago, with the facebook thing. making a guess that it was some kind of crab. Today the article updated confirming(for anyone who hasn't read it.) that it was indeed a crab. Some time after that, someone replied to my comment pretty much yelling at me(with a bit of melodrama included.) for "commenting without reading the article."

I'm so jealous that it's so warm. We're lucky if it hits 20F. There's still easily a foot of snow in my yard.

Which is why I'm going to spend the weekend cleaning and reading, planning out a budget and trying not to spend all of my money.

I am having a small party with a few friends. Specifically, we'll be watching a movie I wrote years ago, which I've only just obtained a copy of the finished version of. I have never seen this movie. My friends will get to see what happens when a screenwriter watches their movie for the very first time. There will be scotch. There will be ALL the scotch.

I should finish this season of American Horror Story and try to watch this week's Gotham, Person of Interest and Sleepy Hollow, but who knows if that will happen. I think I'd rather watch Psych but my DVR is getting full and I need to manage it.

Other than that I might try to clean a bit. I spent half of today trying to wipe my old computer and failing (Tried boot and nuke many times, and burnt three separate CD's, but it just wouldn't work. Got error messages). I should've done this shit before now but I kept putting it off and now months later this piece of junk is cluttering up my room. :/ (I think I'm going to just end up smashing the hard drive because I don't want to waste another half day and God knows how many CD's trying to get this to work. The only thing it did was give me a headache.)

So yea, if I can manage that I'll finally have my room back to way I like it.

Tomorrow I'm studying (two midterms down, one more to go). Sunday I'm volunteering as moral support/cheerleader at a local 10k marathon/town footrace.

Sadly, it's cold and raining here, and it looks like it's going to be that way around here all weekend. :(

Currently the plan is to cook a shitload of lasagna tomorrow (and it's going to be goooooood) and then just chill for the rest of the day, and then go to the farmer's market Sunday morning and get some other good things to eat.

So basically, pretty close to my ideal weekend, if I wasn't doing it alone oh god I'm sorry for sounding so emo and I really am looking forward to the weekend but at the same time that's unquestionably an element of how I think of it. Probably just because it's been raining the last couple days and I always feel like that when it rains.

After a drama filled week at work I'm so ready for the weekend! My best friend is coming over and we're going to watch a couple Bollywood films I recently bought. Old ones we loved as kids. We'll probably cook and bake too. I'm so excited to see my best friend! It's been a couple weeks since I've seen him. Sunday may be spent writing on a fic recently started.

BTW Glad to hear you'll have nice weekend weather! The weather where I live is supposed to be warm and sunny too.
