i've never heard of this.


tbh I felt like she was an unnecessary character, along with bumi and iroh II, even zuko. i think they were just there as fanservice but they didn't really add anything to the story.

I liked her fine, she had a nice voice and down to earth personality. But she also didn't really do anything. She and Bumi were in all these episodes but never actually useful for anything.

She should've had a badass episode, and Meelo could've been cut.

Text: I didn’t give a fuck about any of the LOK wank from beginning to end. But when the crew did that interview and one guy started ranting about how much he hated Kya, that’s what ruined the show for me and since then I’ve been avoiding all things Avatar. It’s strange -- Kya was never even a favorite of mine, nor did I hate her. But of all the characters to hate… Kya? Really? I felt unbelievably disgusted, because it became clear to me how rude, immature, and extremely tactless the people behind Avatar really are.

Jesus, how do people have that strong of a reaction to anyone who isn't one of Team Avatar? I mean...my general opinion on everyone who isn't Korra, Asami, Bolin, or Mako is *shrug*. Like, if pressed I could come up with one quality I like or dislike about each of them, but the entire supporting cast (s3 and 4 villains aside, because they were super cool) is so "whatever" to me. I finally just finished it last week after jumping ship post-s1, and I just...can't summon fucks about most of the characters one way or the other.
