Okay? You're allowed to dislike her. I completely and totally disagree, but you're allowed to have your opinion. I haven't seen a whole lot of labeling people who dislike her sexist except in cases where it is (there are definitely some "ew girl" responses to her).

I was confused too. IMDB says the last episode was in November, though. (Well, there was the Christmas special as well, but the one in Nov is the one the secret is talking about.)

I thought maybe the new season had started and she had returned. (Which I'd like, tbh. I thought she made a fitting Master. I can see why people who didn't like Simm!Master would hate her, but I loved him and she had the same vibe.)

I was disappointed with how the finale was written (again), but I liked her acting.

The important question to ask here is, why didn't they just bring back the Rani?

Eh, I still like the idea of having the Master as a woman in at least one of his/her regenerations, and overall I'm glad they did it because it paves the way for having an eventual female Doctor...

...but the execution was rather terrible. Using "Missy" instead of "Master" and suddenly hetero-snogging the Doctor are probably the top two on my list.

Because they don't have the rights to the character.

Because the Rani was only an antagonist of the Doctor when he happened to get in her way, she doesn't have the Master's obsessive hate/love. I wouldn't mind if they brought her back, but she's not 'a female version of the Master'.

i thought everything, from the introduction of the character to how the story was executed, was dull, underwhelming and sloppy, but michelle gomez herself was such a delight imo (in the final episode in particular).

it didn't make me care about the master, but it did make me game for watching a michelle gomez plays evil mary poppins limited webseries.

Every time I see one of these "I didn't like this female character, and I'm sure that if I say so I'll be labeled as hating all women" secrets (or homosexuals, black characters, etc) I want to smack the secret maker upside the head and say "maybe it's not what you think but how you express it."

haha, me too. I see many more claims that this would happen than I actually see it happening (and when it does happen, I see it get pushed back more than agreed with).
