It's not a description of models, it's a description of what Famine does to people. His encouraging anorexia in the fashion industry makes sense to me. Unless you think there aren't problems with anorexia and body image in the fashion industry.

tbh it was too tryhard and west-centric to make a social commentary out of Famine being on Earth in the form of body policing making women anorexic.
