When I first read this comic, I did not expect that ending (I don't think anyone did).

What scares me is that I know someone who is a weeaboo, she will do exactly this - especially if it's a girl.

The secret is I really hope she never has a child, especially a girl. She sexually harasses her friends, even when they tell her to stop. She uses her friends as emotional crutches, and gets jealous when they have their own lives and lovers. She can never handle a child.

I read some thing years ago (not a webcomic) that was basically "my girlfriend's a weeaboo" except I think it was actually Japanese and so she wasn't actually a weeaboo. Otaku, I guess? Can't remember what it was called, but I actually think doing this with a mother rather than a girlfriend would be more interesting.

Anyway, I'm assuming you guys are fairly young, based on your friend's behavior, so hopefully if she does have kids she'll mature a bit first.

No, you know what? Fuck it.

My headcanon is that the student and his girlfriend and all their friends make a plan to rescue that girl now that they know her mother is the one behind it all.

It takes them a lot of coordinated effort, and many years, but through patience and friendship they manage to deprogram her and help her live her own life as a healthy, happy, independent person.

And then I dunno her mother maybe has an epiphany and gets psychological help.

Perhaps some years later they recoincile, and meet up every now and then while rebuilding their mother-daughter relationship but with healthier boundaries this time.

Honestly I knew someone IRL like this too. To make it worse they were a die-hard yaoi fan. The only thing more amazing than the school's Rainbow Coalition's expulsion of her was the fact that she got in in the first place.

Yes the girl has a problem- HER MOTHER. That's literally her problem. The girl is not stupid or weak for not being able to resist her. To blame her for being forced into going along with her mom is victim blaming.
